Welcome to PORS!
The mission of the Princeton Operations Research Society (PORS) is to promote the field of operations research within the Princeton community and to support the development of students in the Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) department.
PORS serves as a hub for students interested in operations research, business and consulting.
Every year, PORS hosts speakers from Wall Street, the business world, industry, academia, and research who apply principles of operations research to their respective fields. Invited speakers 1)demonstrate their daily job activities through examples 2)illustrate the sacrifices and benefits of their jobs 3)teach a few essential job skills they gained throughout their career.
If you would like to get involved, please review our membership information. You do not need to be majoring in ORFE or pursuing the Engineering and Management Systems (EMS) certificate in order to join. We welcome anyone with an interest in the field of operations research. When you become a member, we will add you to our e-mail list and keep you updated on all of our exciting events throughout the year. Thank you for visiting!
